Arc and Graeme Ives Heritage Planning have successfully provided heritage, townscape and visual impact advice to St James, part of the Berkeley Group. The work supported a section 73 application to increase the height of the previous planning application proposals and add a further new tower to the east of the development.
The site sits on the border between the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham and the London Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. Potential effects included the heritage setting of the grade II listed former BBC TV Centre and the wider Wood Lane Conservation Area, whilst impacts on the wider townscape included views from open spaces such as Wormwood Scrubs were also assessed within the visual impact assessment.
